Leveraged Finance

Generic term used to describe a financing with a relatively high proportion of debt for the acquisition or Refinancing of companies. Usually, this type of financing is requested in the Private Equity sector as the high debt ratio can, under certain conditions, increase the internal rate of return for the investor.
